Review of The Operator on Nintendo Switch

Hey, so I stumbled onto this game, The Operator from Bureau 81. Sounds like something straight out of a TV show, right? You’re basically playing detective for FDI field agents, which, by the way, kinda reminded me of those classic CSI episodes. 🕵️‍♂️ Anyway, you’re this guy, Evan Tanner, the newest tech wiz at the agency. Weirdly enough, it felt like I was truly cracking puzzles and unearthing secrets with some super slick FDI software. Like, maybe I’m not that tech-savvy, but who knows!

So, you’re sitting there at this ultra-secure government terminal. Seriously, confidentiality is no joke here. Field agents buzz in with their requests, and it’s your job to sort the mess out before time’s up. Picture you’re the one everyone calls when they’re in a fix. The adrenaline, the pressure – it all adds up.

What’s cool? The game’s on Nintendo Switch now. Yeah, I know it kicked off on Steam before. You’re tapping the screen or fiddling with Joy-Cons, getting all tangled in choices that mess with the storyline. Joy-Cons are cool and all, but I’ll admit, I have this habit of poking at the touchscreen instead. Who doesn’t love options?

While doing your detective thing, you open calculators, dig through files, and dive deep into the Human DB – that’s Database for those wondering. Something about digging through people’s info and all the data just, you know, feels kinda intense. There’s even a Car DB for catching license plate nonsense. Oh, and you can fiddle with the audio and stuff like subtitles, which is neat if you’re like me and sometimes need an extra nudge in games.

Now, one hiccup on the Switch: the text is like, microscopic. It’s not ideal when you’re not glued to the screen, especially if you’re chilling on a couch, squinting at tiny text. But a little patience goes a long way, or at least that’s what I tell myself. It’s tagged at $13.99, so not too shabby if you’re in the mood for a good mental workout.
