Sure thing, here we go!

So, it’s finally here—Ra Ra Boom. Can you believe it? I’ve been itching to see what Gylee Games whipped up this time. Now, if you’re lucky enough to be holding an Xbox Series X|S controller, you’re gonna wanna dive right into this wild ride. Trust me.
Okay, okay, let’s talk about smashing stuff ‘cause Ra Ra’s got plenty of that. Side-scrolling beat ’em up, it’s like you’re in an old-school brawling arcade but, you know, on your couch. Let’s get into some of the funky foes you’ll be knockin’ around. Yeah, there’s a whole design story behind ‘em. I’ll share a sneak peek about my top three faves from the game—hope they stick in your brain like they did in mine.
First up, adding lanes to the game’s setup was a genius move. Gives players this fresh playground to mess around in, creating all these chaotic battles. Super fun.
### The Brute
Meet The Brute. If you like roller coasters, you’ll dig this one. Inspired by those rattling rides you either love or loathe at theme parks, this character just… explodes onto the scene. Imagine a beast that morphs into a coaster cart. Yep. No idea who dreamt this up, but props to them.
In beast mode, The Brute’s got this leap attack that’s just bananas. You’ve gotta watch closely or, bam, he’s on ya. And then, bam, he morphs into a coaster, cloning himself like it’s nobody’s business. Duck and dodge by hopping lanes or fire back with ranged attacks. We were aiming for this epic two-part boss battle and, well, nailed it.
### Martin
Martin’s a whole different story. Literally the last enemy we tossed into the mix. Shows up in the Arcade level, somewhere we thought needed a sprinkle of giggles and jumps. At first, we tried a floating enemy. Total disaster. It just didn’t… vibe.
And then, like a lightbulb moment, we slapped some goofy holographic legs on the little guy. Now you can see exactly where he’s at. Picture a tiny robot toddler with towering legs—just absurd enough to work, right?
### Bruce
Now, Bruce, whew. This guy almost drove us insane. Talk about a tweaking marathon. The whole fight’s a chase scene, yeah? But, surprise! Motion sickness. Spent forever fixing the background just so I could play without turning green.
We showed it off at events like GDEX and PAX. Feedback wasn’t exactly fireworks. Too simple, honestly kinda yawn-inducing. Enter Eugene—a paranoid, jittery robot buddy. Wasn’t perfect at first. Tossing Eugene to blow stuff up felt… meh. Slowed stuff down, let players take charge again, and, boom, a Bruce fight that’s as epic as promised.
### Find Your Fave
There you have it. Now it’s your turn. Jump into Ra Ra Boom and let me know which enemy you get the most satisfaction smacking around.

And there, that’s it in a nutshell. Enjoy smashing!
