Earlier today, Elden Ring Nightreign took a little nap—servers went offline for, like, an hour. Maintenance stuff. Prepping for a new patch. It’s version 1.01.2, not a giant one—kinda like when you only have one cookie instead of three.
I’m not sure how you feel about nerfs, but that’s the main dish here. A couple bug fixes, too, though one might’ve been so stealthy you’d never even know.
Oh, and hey, if you love cookies—wait, what? Right, back on track: Last week’s patch was 1.01.1, came out June 2. That one had more zing, but this time, not-such-a-big-deal. Two big balance changes, though. The kind that makes you think, “Did they do this on purpose or…?”
First up, there was this bug with bows. They were adding magic, or lightning, or holy stuff, and pow! Physical attacks were beefier than Grandma’s Thanksgiving turkey. And seriously, everyone was picking bows lately. If you felt like Robin Hood, well, that’s over.
Then, some weapons were going rogue with skills. They’d sneak in status ailments or extra power. I mean, come on, even weapons gotta follow some rules, right? Anyway, now they’re reined in.
Oh! Almost forgot—this image of some recluse in Limgrave with a purple sky, kinda sticks with you. Makes you think maybe FromSoft’s on top of things—or just good at making purplish skies.
So, weapons with that crazy “Projectile Damage Drop-Off Reduced” perk? They’re finally back in chests and among the felled enemies. Like it was some big scavenger hunt before. And if you’re searching for the Demon Merchant in Limveld—hallelujah—they’ll show up when they’re supposed to now.
The list of fixes is a bit like a grocery list:
– Bows were a tad OP with that magic trick. Fixed.
– Those sneaky skill attacks? No more uninvited surprises. Fixed.
– Weapons with that projectile perk are back in loot. Fixed.
– Demon Merchant’s being more punctual. Fixed.
– Libra was doing repeat performances. Seriously, chill. Fixed.
– Adel fights? No more random breakdowns. Fixed.
– Rescue missions post-Wormface? They’re back on. Fixed.
Wrap-up from the devs was like, “Yeah, we fixed stuff, but some hiccups might still happen.” Classic. You ever wonder if those bugs have their own little meetings about this?
And downtime today? Hopefully, it didn’t mess with anyone’s big detective work on Nightreign’s rarest item quest. But, hey—our trusty guide? Always online, just waiting to lend a hand when you’re lost in Nightreign land.
And now I’m thinking, do Nerfs bounce like those super bouncy balls? Anyway—wait, where was I?
