Alien: Rogue Incursion launches today on PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets, while players eagerly awaiting the Quest version will need to hold on until February next year. Exciting news from developer Survios reveals they are already knee-deep in creating ‘Part Two’ of the game.
In our comprehensive review of Part One, we awarded the game a commendable 7 out of 10. The immersive environment and intriguing storyline stood out, though we felt the experience was somewhat hindered by repetitive enemy combats and a rather unforgiving save system.
Although Part One could easily stand on its own, offering about eight hours of gripping gameplay filled with Xenomorph battles and engaging narrative twists, you’ll undoubtedly be left craving Part Two once the end credits roll.
While details about what’s next remain scarce, Survios suggests that we’re in for some eagerly anticipated variety beyond the repetitive batches of Xenomorphs seen in Part One. Part Two promises to continue Zula’s saga, introducing her to more formidable foes and tougher trials. The development of this sequel is already underway.
Meanwhile, the Quest release of Part One is top of the agenda, with a scheduled launch exclusive to Quest 3/3S on February 13th, 2025. Adapting all those dynamically loading levels, intricate textures, and physics-based interactions to the Quest 3’s mobile chipset is no small feat—likely the reason behind the delay in the Quest release initially.
Regardless of the challenges, with the core systems for Part One established, we’re optimistic for a quick rollout of Zula Hendricks’ next (and perhaps ultimate) mission to clear the rogue science station of those insidious Xenomorphs.
