Oh hey, so here’s a weird one I stumbled on at like, the most ungodly hour of 1 AM EST. Koei Tecmo, you know, the brains behind those Atelier and Dead or Alive gems (and a bunch of others, but my brain’s kinda fuzzy right now), just casually dropped a bomb. The latest Dynasty Warriors is getting some big ol’ DLC. But wait—there’s more. One of the older games is being dusted off and polished up. A remaster, baby!
So here’s the kicker, or maybe it’s not, cause who even knows. They didn’t spill much in terms of, well, anything else really. Nada on what game gets the remaster spotlight. And, alright, this might just be my sleep-deprived brain connecting dots that aren’t even there but—okay, so EVO is on. The fighting game showdown of the year, and that’s got me wondering: Could they be taking it back to where Dynasty Warriors started? You know, when it was all 1v1 fighting before it went all epic with the historical beatdowns? Hmm.
And honestly, wouldn’t that be a wild ride? Anyway—uh, what was I saying? Right. So what’s everyone thinking? Any wild guesses or low-key hopes for what they’re rolling out for the 25th anniversary? Hit me up in the comments if you’ve got a clue. Maybe I’ll be more coherent by then. Or not.
