Alright, so here’s the thing about this Nintendo release. Or preview, whatever you want to call it. They’ve just dropped this new eight-minute trailer for something called Drag x Drive. It’s part of some big demo happening soon, like August 9th to 10th, 2025—gosh, feels like forever away, but it’s sneaking up.
Okay, so this game, it’s kinda wild. They first teased it during their Nintendo Direct—Switch 2 presentation. And it’s this online sports game, three-on-three style. It’s called Drag and Drive, if you’re wondering about the funky pronunciation. You’ve got to juggle both the Joy-Con 2 and your mouse. Intuitive controls they call it, but who thought of steering with both? It’s like they’re trying to make us pat our heads and rub our bellies simultaneously. Bet I’ll crash in the game before the first sports round even ends.
Now, don’t get me wrong, it was fun, like surprisingly so. But I’m sitting here wondering, is it just me, or are there loads of unanswered questions about its future? We had some hands-on time (and yes, I kinda loved it) but will it catch on? ‘Cause, let’s face it, no one wants to end up in a virtual ghost town. Will people stick around? I mean, it has to find its crowd, or else it’s just another pixelated tumbleweed rolling along.
Oh, and mark this in your calendars, folks—August 14th, 2025, it’s hitting the Nintendo eShop. Only for Switch 2 though. So, unless you’ve nabbed one of those, well… maybe next time?
And there’s a trailer if you wanna get a feel for the chaos—I mean, the game. Anyway, that’s the scoop for now.
