Oh man, where do I even start with this weird crossover in my head? Like, if you’d told me I’d be losing sleep over how my latest Netflix obsession somehow mixes with my forever fave, Star Wars, I’d have laughed. Seriously, Cal Kestis and the gang from those awesome Jedi games vibing with the KPop Demon Hunters crew? I mean, what?
Anyway, turns out they’re all about stylishly kicking butt. Who knew?
There’s this epic video by AnimatedJen I stumbled upon. If you need a morning pick-me-up, watch it. Trust me on this. It’s got that “How It’s Done” track from HUNTR/X. Cal, Bode, and Merrin throw down against the Empire like it’s a piece of cake. Okay, so they’re not leaping out of planes or anything, but their moves are epic. I’m hooked.
And then there’s this moment that cracked me up. Bode’s all “You want some more?” and BOOM—Cal’s kicking a shoretrooper. Bode zooms in with a jetpack and just, bam, right in the face. Merrin spins her staff, and I’m literally sitting there like, “Whoa!” Still got a minute to go and I’m on the edge of my seat.
AnimatedJen’s channel is a total goldmine. I’ve been low-key obsessed. Seeing Cal as an Inquisitor? Count me in. The Jedi games are legendary, and I’m dying for these characters to make the jump to live-action someday.
Star Wars fans are wild and creative, aren’t they? Taking the canon—or whatever’s left of it—and remixing it. Cal, Merrin, and Bode (yes, Bode, we remember) using K-Pop magic against stormtroopers? Why the heck not? I’m naming this trio MANT/S. Imagine Cere Junda as their manager. Someone better write this for AO3. Please. And modders, we need those costumes stat. I’m saying, I’m here for all of it.
Right, catch me powering up Jedi: Fallen Order. Blasting “Takedown” as I slash my way through some Imperial jerks. Let’s do this!
