Sure thing!

So, there was one of those Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase things today, and guess what — Hollow Knight: Silksong? Yep, not there. Again. Fans were all geared up thinking it might pop up. I mean, Nintendo and Hollow Knight go way back, like that time in 2019 when they showed this epic boss fight at a Nintendo Treehouse thing. Also, there was this whisper, incredibly brief, about Silksong’s debut on Switch 2 coming in 2025. I blinked and nearly missed it.
But honestly, thinking about it, maybe it makes sense. I mean, c’mon, we’re kinda used to the letdowns, right? Silksong’s ghosted so many events — it’s almost like a tradition now. Maybe we should just chill. Cause hey, get this — they’re gonna show more gameplay soon in Cologne, Germany, of all places, next month. Anyone else up for a spontaneous trip to Europe?
Oh man, heard there’s this Silksong demo happening at gamescom. It’s kinda big news, and frankly, we haven’t heard much in ages. New bosses, settings, all that jazz… I don’t know about you, but I’m eager to see what this thing’s shaping into.
And for those with a PC or that new ROG Xbox Ally gadget? They’re in for a treat. Even if we don’t get a release date from this demo, it’s still, like, the best peek we’ve had since who knows when – seriously! So if Silksong didn’t show up at that Direct thing, no biggie, right?
Now, even if Xbox has its claws in Silksong, there’s still hope for a release date drop — maybe Nintendo’s saving it for another super-secret Direct in September. Whenever it happens, that day? Pure video game history type of day.
People make memes about Silksong’s wild ride, and honestly, who could blame them? It’s so elusive that putting your foot down on anything concrete feels like jinxing it. Yet, 2025 looks firm, riding on holiday vibes. Who knows, the Xbox guys are betting on it, like a day-one thing. Whether it’s August or December, whenever this ball drops, fans will be over the moon.
But look, delays happen. Gotta let it bake, right? One day though, mark my words, we won’t just expect to see Silksong — it’ll actually show up for real.
