Man, so Microsoft teamed up with Asus for this portable Xbox thing. Kinda wild, right? They’ve whipped up not one, but two consoles—Xbox Ally and the beefier Xbox Ally X. And guess what they’re running? Windows 11. Shocker, huh? With Windows, you get all these launchers ready to go, like Battle.net. And yeah, Game Pass is in the mix, obviously. Can’t forget Xbox Cloud Gaming either.
But like… what’s really different about this compared to ROG’s other handheld stuff? They say it’s an upgraded Windows 11 for games, so maybe there’s magic happening there? Or maybe not. Can’t say for sure.
Roanne Sones, one of the big wigs over at Xbox, was hyping up these gadgets saying they’re super user-friendly and portable. She was all about this “immersive Xbox full screen” thing and how you can access all your games from different stores. It’s nice when everything’s in one place, ya know?
Oh, and there’s this Game Bar feature on Windows 11 they’re yapping about. Makes organizing your gaming life easier, supposedly. Home, library, chat—boom, it’s all there. But hey, still no word on price. The big debut’s pegged for late 2025. We’ll just have to wait and see… if it’s gonna empty our wallets or not.
