The only talk this week about Switch 2? Just a bit of Drag x Drive drama. Oops, did I spoil it?
Okay, so the week feels both "meh" and "wow, that’s a lot" — all at once. We’ve got Gradius Origins, which, by the way, was hyped back in March during the Switch 1 Direct. They’re seriously using lasers from there to slam down the NES Pro Wrestling’s boss. And if you’re in the mood for some shooter action, check out the remake of The House of the Dead 2. Word of caution though, Forever Entertainment’s behind it, so… yeah. Oh, and there’s some anime thingy going on with Demon Slayer and Fate/Hollow Ataraxia. Total flip from zombie shooting, but it is what it is.
Small stuff? Oh, The Edge of Allegoria gives off some major Pokémon vibes, like the RBY in HD. Doesn’t beat this week’s copyright shenanigans though. And then there’s Team17’s Ritual of Raven. Why? Who knows.
So, what did we skim over last week? Oh, just your friendly neighborhood Partner Showcase featuring Chilling By The Fire. And, boom, another reset on that "Directs Without Saga Reveal" — because apparently, Square Enix just can’t resist. BTW, some 3DS-era Harvest Moons went Switch, and Taito’s "Field Day" popped up in Archives.
Can you play EGGCONSOLE GAME without knowing Japanese? Apparently, yes. It’s action RPG flavor from the Xak world, might be a little tricky if it starts yammering though.
