Whoa, so guess what? Out of the blue, Elden Ring Nightreign decided to hit us with an update this week. Did anybody see that coming? I didn’t. Anyway, no downtime, so it’s like, just update your game and jump right back into the chaos.
Now, this Update 1.01.4? Yeah, just a small one, picking up where 1.01.3 left off. June sometime, I think? But yeah, all the fixes are pretty useful, I guess.
Oh, and there’s this cookie stuff. Seriously, what’s up with cookie settings? Anyway… yeah.
So, big news – if you squint, there’s sort of a new feature. The Armament Info menu now tells you the weapon type. Handy for when you’re lugging around a sword (or is it a club?), deciding if it’s worth keeping for those sweet buffs.
But mostly, it’s bug fixes galore. Some game-breaking stuff, too. Imagine this: your teammates ditch you and then poof, matchmaking’s kaput. Fixed that. At least, I hope they did.
More fixes: missing gestures and achievements woes. You gotta hit the requirements again, though. Kind of a bummer they didn’t clearly say that, but whatever. Apparently, some sneaky updates are hiding in there, setting up the Sentient Pest Nightlord to become the big boss or something.
Oh, and mark your calendars – July 3 is when the magic happens. In case you’re living under a rock, Nightreign’s all about tougher Nightlords. Newbs beware, those Everdark Sovereign versions are not messing around.
Got new moves too, those bosses. They’ll surprise attack players who think they know what’s up. Good luck with that!
There’s this cool image of Gnoster the Sentient Pest too. Kind of creepy, kind of awesome. See it? It screams Pest 2.0, doesn’t it?
And before I forget, here’s the quick-change rundown for Update 1.01.4:
– Armament menus now show weapon types. Thank me later.
– Fixed matchmaking bug when your squad bails at the same time.
– “It’s Raining!” gesture glitch? Done and dusted.
– Weird revival thing during third-day boss fights? Gone.
– Recluse Remembrance’s music glitches? Bye-bye.
– Achievement for “Shifting Earth: Crater”? Now it works. For real this time.
And, and more bug fixes, because yeah, always more bugs.
