You know, sometimes things just pop up out of nowhere. Like, I’m scrolling through my feed, and bam! Zombies. Not just any zombies, mind you, but the kind that come swarming toward you in a crazy horde. Why am I talking about zombies? Well, it seems Saber Interactive decided to yank us into their undead universe again—this time in VR. Yeah, you read that right. We’re talking about World War Z making its leap into the virtual realm.
They say it’s set to drop on August 12th—mark your calendars if you’re into that kind of thing. So apparently, they’re building this one’s bones from scratch for VR. Like, forget about the old console and PC vibes. This one’s supposed to be all in-your-face first-person madness. And instead of teaming up with your friends, you’re flying solo through New York, Tokyo, Marseille—sounds like a bad travel itinerary during a zombie apocalypse if you ask me.
Oh, and get this, 200 (yes, two hundred!) zombies at once? That’s a lot of brain-eaters to dodge. But then again, they’re not the shuffling kind. Nope, these zombies have some tricks up their sleeves, adapting and stalking you in their own undead fashion. I wouldn’t be surprised if they can do the cha-cha at this point. Seven characters to try out, a bunch of weapons to swing, and, oh, perks and different difficulty settings too. Makes you wonder who comes up with all these ideas, right?
And yeah, I nearly forgot. You can throw money at it now if that’s your thing—available for preorder through the Horizon Store and Steam. Comes with some snazzy ‘Golden Skin Pack’ too. Twenty bucks. No discount, but hey, golden weapons. Anyway, what was I saying? Oh yeah, diving into this VR world, I’m guessing it’s gonna be a wild, wild ride. Or maybe just another Tuesday. Who knows.
