Man, I have to ramble a bit about this whole Borderlands 4 thing. So, yeah, everyone’s buzzing ’cause the game’s finally about to drop. We’ve been waiting forever, right? Anyway, I caught a few of the trailers and, I gotta admit, it’s got this whole serious vibe going on. Kinda weird for Borderlands, but hey, maybe it works — who’s to say?
Now let’s talk characters. Oh boy, some people really can’t stand Claptrap. You know, that little robot with a personality fluctuating between charming and nails-on-a-chalkboard? Turns out, they’re throwing in a volume slider just for him. Seriously, a whole slider dedicated to tuning him out. Fun? Maybe. But isn’t that sort of giving in to the haters? I’m just saying, once you start censoring one, where does it end? It could get messy, like, real fast.
Dive into the other characters – oh, there’s plenty triggering the same love-hate thing. Ava? Yep, folks hate her too. It’s one of those things where you either roll with it or, I dunno, rage quit. Anyway, if we start using sliders for every annoying character, we might end up with a silent movie or something. Personally, I think the banter gives the game its soul; take that for what it’s worth.
Random tidbit: they’ve new Vault Hunters coming in, a Siren called Vex, and some dude named Rafa. Sounds like a wild mix. I can’t even keep track at this point. And another thing, this Claptrap gag with the volume — could be a one-time deal. I mean, sure, it’s funny now, but if it sticks around, it might lose the charm, you know?
Catch this — Borderlands 4 hits the shelves September 12. Not much longer to wait, and I’m all in to see how this shakes out. And even if Claptrap doesn’t zip it, who cares? It’s all part of the ride, right? Got a feeling it’s going to be a blast regardless.
