New Audio Head Strap for Quest 3 & 3S: The KIWI K4 Duo

Oh man, so KIWI Design just dropped this thing called the K4 Duo, right? It’s a head strap for the Quest 3 — and maybe the 3S too? Honestly, I start thinking about these things, and I’m like, “Do I really need it?” But then again, shiny new gadgets have this weird pull on me. Anyway, so this K4 Duo thing, it’s got these audio speakers that you can, like, twist around. Who came up with that? Kind of genius, but also kind of obvious. Why didn’t anyone think of it before?

And get this — it’s called the ‘K4 Duo AIO Audio Head Strap with Battery.’ What a mouthful, huh? So you can plug it into the USB-C port, and just like magic, you can flip between the headset audio or dive into what the K4 Duo’s pumping out. Sweet, right?

So it’s got this 2650mAh battery. Sounds big? Small? Who knows, numbers like that kinda mess with my head. But hey, it weighs 459 grams, which — if you’re like me and forget what that feels like — maybe grab a bag of apples next time you’re at the grocery store? Oh, and it’s pretty much like other KIWI head straps with the spinny wheel thing at the back. Super handy if you’ve ever tried to adjust one of these bad boys mid-game. Oh, and yeah, you can charge it and the headset at once. Double win!

Testing, though, that’s a whole other thing. Need to poke and prod a bit more to see if this K4 Duo gets to join the cool kids on our Quest 3 accessory list. We’ve flirted with KIWI’s stuff before — some hits, maybe a miss or two — but last year? Oh yeah, we crowned the K4 Boost Battery Strap king.
