Alright, so I was knee-deep in Summer Game Fest chatter today, and guess what? Arc Raiders, that game everyone’s been obsessing over, finally got some spotlight. It’s like, ever since Tech Test 2 wrapped up in May, folks just couldn’t stop buzzing. And honestly, who can blame them? The game felt nearly ready to roll, even way back then. Some people were like, “Just release it already!” But, um, not quite. We did get something juicy though—a release date.
Okay, tiny pause here—if you’re one of those waiting for another beta test, yeah, maybe hold your horses a bit longer. Sucks for those who missed out on Tech Test 2, though. Just watching others play? Torture. But hey, mark your calendars: October 30, 2025. That’s the day for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. This version should build on what we saw in Tech Test 2, but you know, time will tell how different it feels.
Quick side note, the game kinda has this retro PUBG vibe. And I’m totally here for it. Arc Raiders doesn’t really need a ton of tweaks—it’s got charm, gameplay, all that jazz.
Anyway, Embark and Geoff Keighley seem pretty tight. Remember, Arc Raiders first showed up at The Game Awards in 2021, fresh from its co-op phase. Oh, and if you recall, Embark’s The Finals just popped out of nowhere in December 2023 at the same event. So yeah, everyone’s ears were perked this time at Summer Game Fest for some Arc Raiders action.
