Last week, a few things slipped under the radar: Konami’s Escape Kids found its way into the Archives, and Europe somehow managed to add an eye-popping 44 games between Monday and Saturday. Most of these were true shovelware, unlike the ‘Better eShop’ type (props to Connor for that).
This week seemed pretty uneventful at first glance, but then it hit me—Guilty Gear -Strive- is finally making its way to the Switch, with Bridget on their mission to topple capitalism. It’s about time, don’t you think? Also worth a look is Ender Magnolias: Bloom in the Mist from the last year’s partner showcase—it promises some intriguing exploration and platforming. Aspyr is publishing a remake of a Star Wars Episode 1 game, which feels like a fitting match, don’t you agree? Meanwhile, don’t confuse Sword of the Necromancers with Crypt of the Necrodancer (notably less musical and singular in name). Keep an eye out for upcoming reviews of Symphonia, a platformer with a musical twist, and Worlds of Aria, a customizable D&D-like experience.
