Well, anyway, now they’ve rolled out Spacetop for Windows. It’s like turning your whole room into a giant screen or something magical like that when you’re hustling around.
And guess what? It plays nice with those XREAL AR glasses. But here’s the kicker: it’s not just for those tech nerds with sightful’s gadgets. Nope. They’ve opened the floodgates to any cool new AI-fueled PCs out there—think Dell, HP, all the big names.
Once upon a time, they were all about a ‘headless’ laptop with its own weirdo Android-based system called SpaceOS. A mouthful, right? But by October 2024, or was it sometime then, they did a U-turn and pulled the plug on this $1,900 AR workstation. (Seriously, almost two grand!)

Ah, and they’re selling those optical lenses if you need ‘em—prescription ones, too. Handy, right? Laptops they like (and who wouldn’t) include the Dell XPS Core Ultra 7 with 32GB RAM—tech speak for very, very fast—and a mishmash of others from HP, Lenovo, and so on.
So, what’s in it for you? Well, you can push and pull your virtual workspace like it’s dough, go anywhere with it (maybe don’t try the bathroom), and work in bright or dim places. Plus, they’ve dreamed up a natural OS experience. Sounds like tech detox, but cooler.
This sight-unseen-ish workspace is supposedly huge, like 100 inches. Makes me wonder if it’d fit in my living room. Oh, and less hunching over screens, which my chiropractor will be happy about—or maybe not? Anyway, the founders of Sightful, who’ve garnered over $61M in funding (wowza), hail from some pretty elite tech crews. Think PrimeSense, Magic Leap—names make you think they should be crafting magic wands or something.
