The hype was real, trust me. Oh, and there was this huge 2.0 update — but hold up, isn’t the anniversary really in July? Yeah, bit confusing, but I’m not mad about it. More story, more fun — can’t complain, right?
Anyway, fast forward, and boom — it’s July 4th. The official one-year mark, if you were keeping score. HoYoverse couldn’t resist dropping another major patch teaser. We’re talking 2.1, but don’t get too excited just yet. The full thing’s coming on July 16, not today. Patience, folks.
So, what’s new? This update’s got a catchy name — The Impending Crash of Waves. Sounds intense, huh? You’ve got a fresh faction called Spook Shack, and a couple of new spots to explore like Sailume Bay and Fantasy Resort. Picture this: beachy vibes mixed with a touch of mystery. Sailume is where the main story’s happening, while Fantasy Resort — well, that’s your summer getaway in-game. Need a break IRL.
Let’s talk about the Agents — some seriously cool ones. Meet Ukinami Yuzuha, an S-Rank agent who’s got this quirky tankui buddy, Kama. They toss candy bombs — yes, you heard right. Then there’s Alice Thymefield, slicing through enemies with her killer sword skills. Something about her moves just charges you up, you know?
And wait, there’s more! Introducing a new Bangboo called Miss Esme (she’s a big deal, or so they say). Plus, a couple of re-runs for those who missed the older characters: Void Hunter Miyabi and Yanagi, making a comeback. Gotta catch ‘em all or whatever.
