Alright, so here’s what I have to say about John Wick Hex – and, yeah, it’s kind of a rollercoaster. So, Big Fan Games just dropped the bombshell that this whole John Wick Hex gig is getting yanked off shelves, virtually speaking, on July 17. No more John’s slick moves in pixel format from then on. Apparently, this is the only game in the franchise, which is wild when you think about it.
Okay, sidetracked – the game was cooked up by this British indie crew, Bithell Games. They crafted this real-time tactical something-or-other where you, yes you, get to be John Wick himself. Neat, huh? Well, it hit PCs and Macs back in October 2019, then found its way to PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in 2020. It’s like, you wander around saving Winston and Charon from this villain named Hex. Pretty fancy stuff, with voices from Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, and some big-name voice dude, Troy Baker. But get this – even though it’s the sole game representing the John Wick universe, it’s pulling a disappearing act pretty soon.
So, there’s this post on the Steam page from Big Fan, saying they’re pulling it from all platforms on, uh, July 17, 2025. If you already own it, you’re golden, but if not, tough luck. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. The reason? Beats me. They didn’t spill the beans on that one. People say the game isn’t as cool as the movies, but it’s got this comic book-ish vibe and a storyline that’s fun. Some argue the action’s a tad lacking though.
Oh wait, and the chance to snag a copy? Yeah, you might want to grab it before it’s history. Last call to bag John Wick Hex on all the usual digital haunts for a cool $19.99. Fun fact, its story basically fills in the blanks before the movies – although that’s about to be outdated thanks to this upcoming animated flick. Keanu and Chad are cooking up this prequel. They dive into Wick’s infamous “impossible task” – whatever that means.
Anyway, breathe easy; apparently, there’s a new AAA John Wick game lurking in the shadows somewhere, courtesy of Lionsgate. No updates yet, but let’s be optimistic that one day soon, we’ll be dodging bullets in Wick’s world.
